As we continue to elevate the member experience, we are seeking an early- to mid-career professional to join our small, high-impact team as Manager of Member Services. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, improving systems, and delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Location Requirement: Candidates must reside in the greater Washington, DC area to support in-person meetings, events, and team collaboration.
What You’ll Do
Manage all aspects of member recruitment, onboarding, engagement, retention, and member services
Serve as the primary point of contact for members, ensuring a responsive and high-quality experience
Build relationships with members, Board and committee leaders, and partner organizations to support membership growth
Represent the association at partner organization events and industry gatherings for recruitment and retention purposes
Serve as primary staff liaison to the Member Services Committee and Young Professionals Committee, including:
Preparing agendas and minutes
Leading in-person and virtual meetings
Managing the Young Professionals mentorship program
Planning committee-related events throughout the year
Serve as staff liaison to the Board of Directors by coordinating communications and preparing meeting materials
Develop and deliver orientation and engagement sessions for new and prospective members
In coordination with the administrative assistant, maintain the membership database and manage dues invoicing and receipts

Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree preferred
2–3 years of professional experience preferred (internship experience considered)
Experience with an association, nonprofit, or association management company (AMC) preferred
Prior membership, customer service, or engagement experience strongly preferred
Interest in and understanding of the political system is a plus
