The American Academy of Ophthalmology is looking for a Quality Measurement and Regulatory Affairs Manager. This position is responsible for initiating, developing and maintaining quality measures for use in the Academy’s Intelligent Research in Sight (IRIS)clinical data registry. This position also monitors federal legislative and regulatory policies related to health care quality and health information technology (HIT) and works with senior Academy staff to advance related Academy advocacy/policy priorities related to the IRIS Registry, HIT issues and physician payment projects.
Have knowledge about clinical quality measures, measure development and technical specifications, and qualified clinical data registry regulatory requirements A bachelor’s degree is required.

Salary: $114,200 - $120,210
Knowledge about clinical quality measures, measure development and technical specifications, and qualified clinical data registries
Knowledge about cost measures, measure development and technical specifications
Knowledge of clinical quality improvement initiatives and performance improvement models (e.g., CMMI demonstration models).
Understanding of quality care and performance measurement landscape as it relates to provider reimbursement, including a thorough knowledge of the Medicare Quality Payment Program (QPP) and Merit-Incentive Payment System (MIPS)
Knowledge of HIT regulations, including information blocking and CEHRT requirements.
Understanding of the Federal regulatory process
Experience with performance measure methodologies for data collection, analysis, interpretation and testing, including e-measure specifications
