Job Description:
The Vice President, Operations & Business management serves in a senior capacity within BAFT and works closely with the CEO to oversee a range of operational and business functions. Operations oversight will include external providers for infrastructure support for IT, website, and customer database management, new hire onboarding, coordination with the CEO on board of directors support, and general office management. Business functions will include direct support of North America and Regional Bank Councils, oversight of training and education specialists, and ad hoc projects.
BAFT, as subsidiary of ABA, is the leading global forum for bringing the financial community, its solution providers and stakeholders together to collaborate on defining best market practices that facilitate efficient delivery of trade and cash management products and service offerings for their clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct execution of North America Council / IAC / Regional Bank Council including quarterly council meetings and subsequent project initiatives.
Manage [external] resources supporting BAFT IT related systems (e.g. Nimble, website, system upgrades) and ensure alignment with ABA technology initiatives, governance, etc.
Manage external resource responsible for other operational and business support.
Oversee new employee and summer intern onboarding for BAFT.
Oversee BAFT training and education offerings to include development of content, sales, contracting with content providers, increasing online adoption, and driving financial growth.
Oversee Future Leaders Program including strategic direction and operations including, application/selection process, project selection and assignments, sponsor/mentor matching, etc.
Lead ad hoc projects related to the association as determined by the CEO and in conjunction with other BAFT staff.
Other duties as assigned by business need.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or advanced degree.
At least 10 years of project management and/or business management experience.
Experience engaging senior business leaders; experience engaging people from diverse cultures.
Experience managing multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
Experience developing and/or executing business plans and managing risks.
Highly motivated, self-starter requiring minimal supervision with strong decision-making skills.
Excellent project management skills; experience leading or managing independent resources with no direct reporting relationship.
Experience leading meetings, synthesizing discussion topics, outlining, and driving follow-up.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong customer service orientation.
Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Outlook, Word, Excel PowerPoint; strong understanding of database/website management tools/technology implementation process.
Ability to travel (<20%).
