The Society of Surgical Oncology is looking for an innovative and creative Marketing Manager -

The mission of the Society of Surgical Oncology is to improve multidisciplinary patient care by advancing the science, education, and practice of cancer surgery worldwide.
The Marketing Manager has a great eye for design but also solid front-end development skills, in addition to exceptional marketing writing experience. You will get to be successful by leveraging multiple digital channels, including website, mobile, video, marketing automation tools, search engine optimization and social media platforms.
Our ideal candidate will enhance and maintain our website, contribute to our digital marketing strategy, and develop dynamic content.
Duties and Responsibilities:
As the Marketing Manager and in collaboration with the Assistant Director of Marketing and Communications, develop and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns that engage target audiences, drive increased traffic, and deliver qualified sales leads within expected deadlines and budgets.
Develop marketing plan strategies to support the Annual Meeting, ExpertEd@SSO, educational programs, membership recruitment and retention programs, and other SSO events.
Execute communication strategies across multiple channels including website projects, marketing automation, lead management, social media, other web-based activities and initiatives.
Daily management and execution of multiple digital marketing campaigns including social advertising, SEO, mobile, email and other innovative media channels to drive visitors to website.
Write and implement compelling long and short-form content, for emails, product descriptions, articles, infographics, presentations, ads, print, and web copy that targets audience segments to educate, drive engagement and revenue.
In collaboration with the Assistant Director of Marketing and Communications, develop and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns that engage target audiences, drive increased traffic, and deliver qualified sales leads within expected deadlines and budgets.
Understands a wide variety of marketing and communications realms of expertise, including, digital marketing, analytics, creative, content, development and market research.
Incorporates planning, analytics, analysis, and measurable objectives to realize program goals and share throughout the organization to assist other departments with making informed decisions and for allocating resources. Define and communicate service indicators, achieve KPI targets, and measure and review outcomes.
Provides consultation to staff, and volunteer leaders on brand and marketing strategy as needed.
Manage the design and function of website and landing pages.
Perform audit reports of website, identify design/UX issues/improvements and search optimization opportunities.
Track and report performance and conversions of all digital marketing campaigns and assess against goals and strategies.
Cross-promote content across media platforms, including SSO’s learning management system.
Produce and analyze reports on the effectiveness of all digital platforms.
Assist other SSO departments to implement an established social media plan that promotes various educational programs and Society initiatives.
Other digital marketing projects, as needed.

Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience driving in marketing efforts preferably in associations.
Experience as a digital marketing strategist or similar role required.
Working knowledge of Informz preferred.
Audio and video editing skills
Graphic design experience with an eye on aesthetics and details
Knowledge of Google Analytics, GA4 experience preferred
Experience in developing behavior-based campaigns using marketing automation.
Knowledge of HTML/CSS and hands-on experience a plus.
Experience writing and developing digital content.
Creative thinker, who is an assertive problem solver with an analytical mind.
The ability to effectively collaborate across different teams.
High proficiency with best practices for SEO, social media, email marketing, and blog writing.
Must demonstrate strong attention to detail, accuracy, and impeccable grammar.
B.A./B.S. in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
