Position Reports To: Chief Executive Officer
Basic Function of the Position: Oversee and manage the Pacific Telecommunication Council’s (PTC) membership and member programs.
Critical Duties and Responsibilities:
Solicit new memberships and membership renewals via extensive outreach, including calls, e- mails, and in-person meetings. Establish and maintain relationships with members and non-members via extensive outreach, including calls, e-mails, and in-person meetings. Understand the forecasting, pipeline, and contracting process. Maintain an accurate pipeline and be prepared for weekly 1-on-1 meetings with CEO. Respond to membership inquiries via calls and e-mails in a timely manner. Work closely with the Sponsorships & Meetings Manager to provide leads and vice versa. Analyze, follow-up, and approve membership applications. Coordinate and attend member-related events and meetings. Provide content for members’ e-publication. Maintain membership database. Work with accounting on annual dues, resignations, and category changes. Coordinate and participate in Membership Committee meetings. Produce membership reports as needed. Manage membership annual budget. Self-educate in current trends and key new companies/technologies in the industry. Work on special projects and other duties as assigned. Staff:
Administrative support from the Executive Assistant.
Education/Training/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Communications or related field preferred or commensurate experience. 5+ years’ field sales/membership/recruitment experience, preferably in non-profit or technology related organizations. Track record of achieving and exceeding individual sales/recruitment goals. Experience with pipeline and forecasting management. Skills/Capabilities/Technical:
Must be able to work independently, as well as part of a team in a positive, flexible, and collaborative manner. Possess a positive, can-do attitude. Superior oral and written communication skills required. Ability to provide exceptional customer service. Organization and problem-solving skills. Proofreading skills. Extreme attention to accuracy and detail. Work effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels. Work simultaneously on multiple tasks and projects and able to set priorities and meet deadlines. Maintain confidentiality and handle information with sensitivity. Proficient with MS Office and e-mail. Additional Information:
This position requires overtime and travel up to 25%. Ability to travel to Honolulu, Hawaii for the Annual Conference and a minimum of once per quarter to PTC’s office.
