The American Association for the Advancement of Science seeks an experienced Project Coordinator for the Executive Office. This role will support various governance activities of the organization.

What You’ll Do:
- Perform data analysis on programmatic activities and perform biographical research
- Manage departmental webpages: update content, contribute to content creation and layout
- Provide a high level of customer service and monitor and respond to inquiries (phone, various email inboxes, web form) on governance policies and procedures to internal staff and external people in high-level positions
- Coordinate the day-to-day operational activities of the Association’s elected Fellows
- Maintain Fellow and volunteer leader data, including database management, records, and files
- Prepare and send out mass mailings
- Research historical records to find relevant information
- Ensure compliance with governance requirements
- Provide operational support to sections and team members
- Provide support for other Executive Office projects and initiatives, such as AAAS Awards and Prizes
- Provide logistical support at the Annual Meeting and other governance-oriented events
- Provide administrative support to the Director, Deputy Chief of Staff, and Chief of Staff
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Position requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and experience which demonstrates the necessary skills and expertise required for the position
- Two to three years of work experience in an office, non-profit, or membership association setting
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills for both internal and external constituencies
- Superior proofreading skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to handle confidential details with absolute discretion
- Work both independently and as part of a team, with the willingness and positive attitude to support team members whenever needed
- Solution-oriented and forward-thinking
- Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office (including mail merges), Salesforce, Adobe Acrobat, Zoom, AirTable, various cloud-based platforms
- Familiarity with governance processes, volunteer management and/or volunteer engagement preferred
