The Distance Learning Specialist provides live webinar support. You will be responsible for participating in the planning, preparation, and implementation of the AHLA live webinar portfolio.
Position Responsibilities
- Responsible for end-to-end live webinar operations including informational review, set-up, scheduling, material collections, day-of-event execution, and post-event reporting.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions with a focus on improving the live webinar customer experience.
- Responsible for technical course setup in CRM and LMS and registration process of all scheduled live webinars.
- Maintain live webinar event pages to keep them up to date.
- Responsible for updating internal department live webinar timelines and project plans to meet deadlines and ensure the success of scheduled live webinars.
- Updating calendar of events, sending speaker calendar invites instructions, and deadlines for scheduled live webinars.
- Review live webinar descriptions for external communication use and work with the marketing staff to review all content prior to final distribution to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Develop, compile, and analyze reports for live webinars to determine effectiveness, outcomes measurements, and future needs.
- Keep abreast of current continuing education accreditation standards, policies, and procedures and how they apply to planned live webinar activities.
- Handles live webinar inquiries and/or issues from volunteers, speakers, and registrants.
- Responsible for ensuring live webinar materials and speaker releases are received timely in advance of the scheduled event.
- Develop live webinar best practices, tutorials, standard operational procedures, and guides for volunteer leaders, AHLA staff, and speakers.
- Identifies opportunities to improve overall participant engagement and learning experience within the learning management system.
- Participates in conference calls with volunteer leaders as needed to provide guidance related to live webinars.
- Responds to verbal, written, and electronic inquiries from AHLA volunteer leaders, AHLA staff, and live webinars participants related to the distance learning department.

Education/Experience/Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- Three to four years of experience, preferably in online learning, education, or event management within an association
- Proven track record supporting or managing projects from start to finish and delivering successful results
- Knowledge of and experience with supporting continuing education preferably CLE, CPE, or CCB state requirements
- Experience working with volunteer leaders in a nonprofit environment
- Experience with an LMS and webinar hosting technology preferably, Zoom
- Experience with authoring tools
- Experience with databases preferably CRM
- Strong proofreading, writing, editing, and commination skills
- Experience with Smartsheet
- Demonstrated intermediate-level expertise in MS PowerPoint, MS Word, and MS Excel.
- Detail-oriented, strong organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of adult learning theories and emerging trends in the industry
- Demonstrate interpersonal skills to establish and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, volunteers, partnering organizations and external stakeholders.
