Function. Reporting to the Vice President of Membership and Marketing, the Marketing Manager will manage and implement strategic marketing campaigns and promotions for SIIA and its brands to include online and live events, programs, webinars, and awards across the SIIA divisions. They will be responsible for writing engaging and effective copy for a variety of uses – emails, web pages, social media, and print materials – that resonates with target audiences and drives results. Must have strong project management skills. Experience using Wordpress, Hubspot and some graphic design knowledge is required. S/he also assist with onsite activities at live meetings and events; therefore, some travel may be required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- In conjunction with the web team create new website page designs and content as needed for award programs and other divisions programs and events.
- Create graphics and content for social media across divisions and serve as an adviser to divisions on social media strategies and implementation. Measure and report success of marketing efforts to drive engagement, improvements.
- With the VP, implement marketing campaigns and promotions, to support initiatives across divisions, with a strong focus on digital marketing campaigns including:
- Brand awareness building through social media
- Lead generation/lead nurturing campaigns (targeting individuals and organizations) for event registrations, increased use of products and services and membership recruiting.
- Point-person for all website content updates and maintenance through WordPress including dissemination of press releases, blogs, and newsletters as necessary.
- Assist with writing and editing copy for marketing materials/channels and work with marketing manager to manage the email calendar/scheduling for efficiency.
- Develop advertising as needed for bimonthly magazine, paid ads and social media campaigns.
- Work with the vice president ensure all marketing campaigns and promotions are successfully executed on time and to streamline processes to increase efficiencies between marketing and other departments.
- Ensure compliance with brand standards in all marketing communication channels. Stays current on industry (marketing, social, email marketing, association) trends and uses information to make improvements and/or editorial recommendations.
- Participate in weekly meetings with divisions to discuss project status, ideas and brainstorm activities for upcoming promotions and programs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business or other related field. Minimum of five (4) years of experience in marketing and branding in an association setting. Demonstrated experience successfully managing an organization's social media platforms increasing engagement and followership. Adobe Creative Suite and digital media creation experience required. Experience with website management, content creation, and graphic design tools necessary. Prior experience with Hubspot and WordPress required. Familiarity with CRM and video image editing systems preferred.
