SUMMARY:
The NECA Director of Talent Development has a passion for empowering innovative pioneers within electrical construction. This curious leader will engage with students and construction professionals to recruit, retain, and develop industry talent. Curiosity, strong communication skills, a genuine interest in helping others, and a drive for execution are paramount to success in this role.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Proposes and executes initiatives focused on bringing students and contractors together to attract the best and brightest to the electrical industry.
- Collaborates on content development and asset generation for the NECA Innovation Institute. Provides support to Institute Leaders as they engage in program activities.
- Establishes, maintains, and strengthens relationships with NECA Student Chapters, members, faculty advisors, students, and others to achieve NECA’s objectives regarding NECA Industry Innovation programs.
- Champions Industry Innovation and Student Chapters initiatives to provide timely and accurate information on various membership activities and outreach projects.
- Engages with the Innovation Overload podcast to drive content, messaging, and delivery while educating listeners on how industry professionals apply innovation to grow their businesses.
- Participates and supports multi-disciplinary projects and activities across NECA National to increase and elevate member recruitment, retention, engagement, and experience.

REQUISITE EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Candidates must possess at least four years of relevant work experience in leadership, education, marketing, business process improvement, engineering, or a similar field.
- Exceptional listener and effective communicator both verbally and in writing.
- Passion and enthusiasm for upskilling and improving the experience of self, colleagues, and constituents.
- Experience working with multiple departments and points of contact.
- Ability to function both independently and in a team-oriented collaborative environment.
- Capable of setting priorities when multiple demands are present.
- Bachelors degree in Business or Marketing preferred but not required; must be exceptionally detail oriented and have experience using Office 365 and MS Teams.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
General office work environment, some travel and public speaking will be required.
