Job Summary

The Human Resource Manager will lead and direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. May also provide coaching or consultation with staff or management in order to achieve desired department or organizational goals.  This role is responsible for various compliance-related reporting in tandem with the HR Director. 

Essential Functions

• Works in tandem with the leadership team to understand and execute the organizations human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
• Manage payroll and timesheet processing to include bi-weekly processing and reporting in compliance with applicable laws.
• Develop and administer the performance and real time feedback process to include ongoing analysis of the program and training to all staff.
• Administers the company benefit plans to include strategizing plan renewals, new hire orientation and annual open enrollment.
• Manages and administers compliance training to all employees to include researching programs and sending and tracking completion
• Analyzes and gathers budgetary data for reporting and auditing for accuracy and compliance
• Responsible for various compliance-related reporting including FMLA, EEOC, Form 5500, and regular review of other compliance issues in tandem with the HR Director.
• Functions as an employee relations liaison to include performance management, conflict management, engagement and coaching.
• On an as-needed basis, this role may provide mediation or consultation with staff or management to maintain desired organizational culture, development and goals.
• Research and review content of plan documents/policies for ongoing compliance and update if needed in conjunction with HR Director.
• Provides internal and external customer service in a professional and timely manner.
• Manages projects from planning to execution; spanning topics such as employee relations presentations, employee events, employee wellness, diversity presentations, benefit fair presentations, open enrollment, communications and training and other functions or projects as assigned.  

Qualifications/Requirements

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in communications, human resources, business or related field required
• Work Experience: 3-5 years of applicable experience or demonstrated work/internship
• Must posses a strong attention to detail and proficient at handling multiple priorities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required 
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as a member of a team
• Requires intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe
• Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
