The position is responsible for the development, training, and management of ASAM’s Chapters. S/he will be responsible for building and maintaining working relationships with chapter leaders.
Identifies new ways to enhance ASAM’s ability to support chapter leaders and administrators.
Identify, develop, and manage chapter tools and resources for successful chapter operations including, but not limited to, chapter training, chapter operations guides, and chapter leadership onboarding.
Monitors chapter operations, governance, and activities. Ensures compliance with ASAM policies and procedures. Establishes key measurements to track chapter performance and measure progress.
Ensures accurate information for all chapters. Tracks chapter bylaws, chapter leadership, chapter elections, chapter meetings, chapter administrators and updates database and website accordingly.
Assist Chapter leaders with request for mail lists, elections, surveys, and other request as needed.
Manage quarterly chapter dues reconciliation and disbursement.
Coordinates chapter content for ASAM Member Connect monthly newsletter.
Develops and organizes Chapter Leadership Summit and roundtable meetings, focused on leadership development and chapter operations.
Maintains procedures for chapters and chapter management. Creates new procedures as needed.
Analyzes Chapter data and makes recommendations based on careful analysis.
Provides administrative/project support for membership initiatives including but not limited to membership dues processing and member inquires by email and phone.
Represent ASAM at ASAM events, Chapter meetings and allied industry events.
Other duties as assigned
At least two years of experience with managing/supporting Association Chapter Relations and associated activities.
Must have experience working with association management software (Membersuite Preferred)
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Experience working with committees, volunteer leaders and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated presentation skills to groups of various sizes
Proven skills in project management
Occasional Travel may be required.
Experience working with medical associations is preferred.
Demonstrated experience managing budgets, including financial reconciliation between AMS system and accounting system (Intacct preferred).
