We are actively recruiting for a Certification Coordinator to join the team. This role reports directly to the Executive Director and assumes responsibility for managing the Certified Grants Management Specialist (CGMS) certification, maintaining up-to-date knowledge and expertise in the field (including keeping abreast of outside developments, and trends), and, as a key member of the NGMA team, playing a key role in the NGMA’s annual training/meeting. The main responsibilities include:
Serve as staff project lead throughout the CGMS accreditation process, working closely with and vetting outside consultants and developing new policies, procedures, and structure for NGMA staff and the NGMA CGMS Council.
Responsible for managing NGMA’s CGMS certification program, including related customer service, forms, and website management, registering of applicants, renewals, tracking applicants and issuing CGMS certificates.
Serve as the point person for NGMA’s exam testing vendor.
Ensure NGMA is meeting relevant requirements for the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA).
Present both virtually and in-person when necessary to promote the CGMS program.
Oversee the CGMS webpages and marketing efforts.
Manage the CGMS email account.
Serve as the staff liaison and support the work of the CGMS Council/Nominating Committee, including:
Managing the volunteer requirements of the accreditation process.
Managing meetings and communications with the CGMS Council.
Developing and distributing meeting materials and agendas.
Participating in conference calls and in-person meetings.
Assist the Senior Director of Operations with managing NGMA’s annual conference which includes coordinating the exhibit hall, event marketing, printed materials, running reports, and other administrative duties
Staff the event on-site, including in-person meetings leading up to the training
Special projects as assigned by the Executive Director or Senior Director of Operations

Your background should include:
Experience working within a non-profit association certification setting, especially understanding and enacting accreditation policies, and procedures (NCCA accreditation experience preferred but not required).
Minimum of 2-3 years professional experience including project management and administration of professional certification programs or products.
Strong writing skills and ability to communicate in an effective, professional, and timely manner.
Strong customer/member service orientation.
Experience in volunteer/committee management.
Ability to collaborate effectively both internally across departments and externally to achieve organizational goals in a professional and timely manner.
Demonstrated ability to effectively organize, prioritize and manage multiple tasks to ensure timely and accurate results.
Ability to travel out of state and overnight as needed (anticipated 2-3 times per year).

Professionalism: Good judgment, ability to interact with all levels of staff, volunteers, and vendors, appropriate demeanor, confidence.
Advanced computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite.
