Basic Function of the Position: Serve as the program manager for CTA’s Diversity and Inclusion initiatives aimed at increasing and amplifying diversity at CES and CTA events. The senior program manager will partner with the SVP, Political and Industry Affairs and work cross-functionally with CTA teams to partner with member companies to help position them to highlight diversity initiatives across the tech industry. This position will also manage CTA’s commitment of showcasing diversity within events, investments, and partnerships. This role is ideal for someone who has managed programs and has an emerging interest, and experience in diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Critical Duties & Responsibilities:
Establish relationships and partnerships with organizations that share missions and interest of enhancing the diversity and inclusivity ecosystem in the technology sector. This includes those supporting entrepreneurs/startups with diversity among its founders.
Partner with Marketing to develop marketing materials and assets that amplify the national conversation about the importance of diversity in the tech sector i.e. develop content and social media messaging highlighting member companies committed to investing in women and minority entrepreneurs and showcase their impact on industry.
Manage CTA’s Diversity & Inclusion Working Group, a volunteer group of executives from CTA member companies aimed at moving the needle forward and committed to developing and establishing DEI best practices and priorities. discuss and share best practices on diversity and inclusion priorities and initiatives
Work with cross-functionally with the CES Operations, Events and Conferences, and Communications teams to develop Diversity and Inclusion related program content and identify speakers and panelist for CES and CTA conferences.
Partner with the Finance Department to support and manage the Diversity Investment Subcommittee as they invest the $10 million commitment to Diversity and Inclusion made by CTA.
Lead and manage programs aimed at engaging member companies, allied organizations, and startups at CES and other CTA events.
Lead and manage sponsorship with local K-12 STEM organization to provide member and employee engagement update.
Prepare weekly/monthly department status reports to inform other CTA departments of the Diversity and Inclusion progress
Act as team liaison with other CTA departments on CTA Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives
Other duties as assigned to support business needs
Must possess at least 6-8 years of related experience on program management
Experience working on diversity and inclusion strongly preferred, interest in DEI and D&I required
Experience in contract negotiation
Experience as project manager to successfully execute on related programs, initiatives, and events
Understanding of how to develop and manage mutually beneficial partnerships that drive impact and engagement for CTA and its members
Must have strong written and verbal skills with the ability to develop and build relationships, com
Previous experience in consumer technology or related field preferred
Bachelor's Degree with a preference given to Marketing, Communications, or related fields, or advanced degree strongly preferred or commensurate experience
Experience working with Directors and at the Executive level
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple issues and tasks and the ability to work on complex and diverse projects with defined deadlines
Some travel and overtime required
Excellent communication/people skills and excellent attitude required

Well-read and well-versed on newsworthy topics related to diversity and inclusion, the US Labor market, and the technology global marketplace
Position requires individual to work with a variety of personalities. Flexibility, ability to change and forward thinking are required
