The CPD Accreditation Senior Strategist is a Subject Matter Expert (SME) accountable for working with the Commission on Continuing Professional Development, CME faculty, staff, and other SMEs to continuously strengthen the AAFP's CME credit system policies and practices, and to ensure the AAFP demonstrates compliance with current guidelines governing accredited CME.
This position is responsible for AAFP’s CME compliance program including the program and activity level strategy for ensuring AAFP compliance with Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) requirements and all other applicable regulations pertaining to certified CME. This position will work closely with staff across the organization to build consensus, help unify objectives among multiple stakeholders, and provide essential training to staff responsible for accrediting and producing CME activities.
This position is also responsible for working with the Director of CPD Accreditation to identify, set and implement the financial and business strategy for AAFP Credit System.

Possible 15 days travel annually.

Helping Family Physicians Advance Health
Bachelor’s degree or knowledge acquired through equivalent work experience, plus a minimum of six years related work experience. Understanding of ACCME criteria and other applicable laws and regulations and experience managing the compliance of a CME program required. This position requires critical thinking skills and the ability to synthesize regulatory guidelines that impact Continuing Medical Education to ensure compliance. The ability to follow guidelines with specific deliverables and timelines is a must. Must be self-directed and able to manage multiple priorities. Strong public speaking skills, as well as strong verbal and written skills are needed.
