In collaboration with SWE’s Learning and Development staff, the Professional Programs Learning Associate is responsible for creating and promoting high-impact digital learning solutions for SWE’s professional programs using a variety of technologies. This position will administer a variety of learning technologies and SWE’s learning management system.
This position must be able to handle multiple projects with competing deadlines while working with others to assist SWE in meeting identified professional excellence goals. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating and promoting digital learning solutions, enjoys leading learning technologies, and values the responsibility of contributing to a hardworking team. This position requires someone to be highly motivated and productive while working remotely to manage projects with conflicting needs and priorities.
SUMMARY OF CONTENT/PROGRAM CREATION RESPONSIBILITIES (60%) • Responsible for designing, developing, and promoting a variety of online learning solutions (videos, eLearning courses, web sessions, training guides, etc.) for various audiences. • Act as the primary administrator of SWE’s learning technologies including, the learning management system (LMS), WordPress sites, video production, closed captioning software, web conferencing platforms, and eLearning authoring technologies (Articulate 360 - Storyline). • Act as the primary contact for SWE learning email inquiries and troubleshooting technology requests. • Research potential speakers for SWE events, including contracts. Work with subject-matter-experts to implement digital learning solutions according to identified learning outcomes. • Follows the IACET standard for content offering CEUs and promoting content according to IACET standards. Assist with the IACET reaccreditation process. • Coordinate with the strategic partnerships team on existing and new sponsorship opportunities. • Act as a liaison to SWE’s members and a variety of SWE committees to create new content. • Committed to providing timely excellent customer experience to SWE staff, members, non-members, and sponsors. • Support new products, programs, and training initiatives as needed. • Handle special projects as assigned.
SUMMARY OF MARKETING RESPONSIBILITIES (40%) • Develop and implement high-quality multimedia content for digital learning marketing channels (learning websites, emails, social media, text messaging, blogs, etc.) to meet registration goals. • Develops and maintains web content management system for SWE programs and digital communication platforms, which includes but is not limited to planning, design, testing, content maintenance, troubleshooting technical issues, and forms. • Develops digital communication for SWE programs on social media, including paid social media and Twitter Chats to promote professional programs, grow our following, and engage with members/partners. Identifies and implements emerging social media trends and social tracking tools to achieve goals. • Support learning staff to promote new programs. • Develop custom web forms, surveys, and other technical website tools. • Provide expert level proofreading and copy edits for internal and external writers (including blog posts before publication, conference sessions, presentations, scripts, and internal content).
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: • Minimum BA in marketing, graphic design, or education. • Minimum 5 years’ experience required in content marketing, preference for learning. • Proven marketing experience. • Advanced project management experience is required. Ability to plan and implement multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and meet changing priorities. • Demonstrates strong decision making and problem-solving skills. • Excellent organizational and time management skills • Ability to collaborate with key stakeholders to develop learning solutions. • Detail-oriented with high-quality standards. • A writer and storyteller. The ability to create engaging stories using words, images, or video to express messages concisely. • Ability to write persuasive copy, instructional text, and video scripts— concise, structured, and relevant to SWE’s membership. • Occasional travel will be required to support conferences and meetings.
TECHNOLOGY REQUIREMENTS • Technically savvy and open to learning new learning and marketing technologies. • Advanced skills creating instructional videos, adding closed captions, and translating content – experience working with video editing software (Camtasia, Adobe Premier, etc.) Should be able to show samples. • Strong skills developing content using various authoring technologies (Articulate 360 - Storyline). Ability to troubleshoot SCORM files and SCORM delivery mechanisms. • Working knowledge administering learning management systems and WordPress sites. • Advanced user of MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (vLookUps, Pivot tables, etc.) is required. • Demonstrable experience in marketing data analytics and tools. • Experienced in conducting virtual training, presentations and meetings using various web conferencing tools.
