Plumbing Manufacturers International (PMI), the trade association for manufacturers of plumbing fixtures and fittings is seeking self-directed, flexible, team player, who is an extremely well organized self-starter, with the ability to identify problems and quickly develop solutions focused on results.
The Education Coordinator is integral to the success of PMI's education program providing support to the association’s virtual education programs (e-learning, micro-learning and webinars). Participate in program development and on-site support for the Annual Meeting and assist with meetings and activities of the Association. The Education Coordinator is often the first point of contact between PMI education and prospective customers, and must uphold high standards of excellence in customer service and support of PMI’s programs and services.
Develop and maintain strategies to enhance and grow the virtual education program, assist in the selection of topics and speakers, schedule programs, coordinate content development, and as the technical lead, facilitate webinars and virtual events.
Coordinate speaker communications and logistics (including audience response system where applicable) pre, during and post education events with support of PMI staff.
Serve as the primary point of contact for the LMS and oversee production of and content development for the online courses and managing the recording and posting onto the LMS.
Respond to and triage requests for member program assistance ensuring that all calls and emails receive a response within 24 business hours.
Gather and analyze program data, conduct needs analyses, monitor attendance and feedback, and implement appropriate improvement strategies focused on meeting member needs.
Work with PMI’s PR team to promote newly released content and eLearning opportunities, provide timely event information and coordinate posting materials for the educational programs.
Assist in the budget development and monitors expenses and revenues against budgets for e-learning programs.
Assist in preparing and confirming meeting specifications for hotel, food/beverage and audiovisual within budget guidelines for assigned meetings.
Assist in reconciling programs, which includes all invoices and payments and post-event analysis.
Provide service excellence to all internal (staff) and external inquires (member and non-member support) with a positive, courteous attitude, sense of urgency, and attention to detail.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and at least 2-3 years of education support and member service experience.
Experience working remotely, within a small team environment wearing multiple hats. You are flexible and understand the need to be nimble in a lean organization.
Creative and innovative with the ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines. You have a proactive, positive approach to process improvement and learn on the fly.
Strong collaboration skills across all levels. You possess leadership qualities including empathy and accountability, to form strong relationships with colleagues, members and external stakeholders.
Ability to address/resolve member issues quickly, using a clear, thoughtful manner and “member first” service perspective.
Strong computer skills particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Intermediate to advanced experience with data management systems, webinar platforms, conferencing tools, and Survey Monkey. Ability and willingness to learn new software and programs as required.
Service-oriented attitude and the desire to work with/for multiple people with a variety of personality-types and various levels of need for support.
Ability to travel up to 25 days a year to PMI meetings.
Telecommuting is allowed.
