Organization & Position Description: The Association of Corporate Counsel (“ACC”) is a global legal association that promotes the common professional and business interests of in-house counsel through information, education, networking, and advocacy. The San Francisco Bay Area Chapter (“ACC SFBA”) is the largest in the U.S., representing over 2,800 members of the in-house legal community. The Chapter provides on-going education and networking opportunities throughout the year, across the Bay Area.
The Communications & Events Coordinator will help ensure the delivery of high-quality programs to members of the ACC SFBA Chapter.
Role Summary: The Communications & Events Coordinator is responsible for planning, executing and reporting on San Francisco Bay Area Chapter programs. This includes evaluating potential venues, planning and promoting events, working with venue event staff to execute quality programs, reporting on event performance, providing timely responses to requests from members, and supporting the Executive Director in a range of initiatives designed to grow and support Chapter membership. This individual is responsible for producing and cataloguing event sign-in sheets, certificates and presentations in accordance with California State Bar Association guidelines for MCLE Providers. The Communications & Events Coordinator reports to the Executive Director. This individual will be interacting with law firm representatives and in-house counsel from leading Bay Area companies and is expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner.

Must be located in the Bay Area and have the ability to work from home. A computer, phone and printer will be provided.
Must have a valid California Driver’s License and be willing to drive to events around the Bay Area, as well as to weekly meetings with the Executive Director as required.
Must be open to a flexible work schedule since events are often outside of regular work hours. This includes some early mornings, evenings and, occasionally, weekends (for example, in 2019 a total of 2 Saturdays were required).
Ideally this candidate will have experience working with a range of email, social media and/or event technology platforms. The following are preferred:
