MCI is currently looking for a full-time Senior Account Coordinator, located in our Chicago office. The Senior Account Coordinator is a part of overall client teams and has responsibility for operational, membership, financial and partial marketing services, programs and processes as defined by the client service scope. The Senior Account Coordinator, as part of the broader Account Team, implements day to day solutions, including, but not limited to member retention, acquisition, evaluation, reporting and value, tactical programmatic solutions, financial transactions (credit card, lockbox, Purchase Orders, reimbursements, etc.), governance (agendas, minutes, archiving), board and committee relations, Account Executive support, implementation of processes, efficiencies and actions that further the goals and objectives, policies, procedures, guidelines, budget and program activities as approved by client leadership.
The successful candidate will report directly to an Associate Vice President or Account Executive and will retain client obligations to the officers, directors, and members of MCI client(s) (non-profit).
The Senior Account Coordinator will be assessed and measured by your ability to develop and execute client growth strategies, as well as possess the ability to thoroughly document and report these plans and tactics to ensure operational efficiency.

This position is responsible for upholding the mission of MCI and assigned client(s) by maintaining corporate integrity, implementation of business plans, process and program implementation and by providing support and solutions to the Account Teams and client service scopes assigned to. The Senior Account Coordinator, at all times, is employed by MCI and is ultimately responsible for the successful implementation of Service Agreements in a manner that adds significant value to MCI client relationships.
Without limiting the scope of these responsibilities, among other things, the Senior Account Coordinator shall:
Coordinate, uphold and implement client activities related to policies, programming, strategic plans, goals, objectives and budget;
Provide staff support for standing and ad-hoc committees and task forces including developing agendas, scheduling, taking minutes, executing committee/task force deliverables, archiving meeting materials, reports and maintaining oversight of other governance documents;
Maintain and safeguard client database records, ensuring proper use and accuracy in real time membership growth, retention and value reporting to the Account Team or client(s) leadership;
Support the Account Executive and Account Team in providing solutions and day to day management to the assigned client(s) and their respective Service Scopes via completing assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner while offering innovative solutions that result in greater client value, process efficiency and operational control;
Provide onsite assistance for meetings, education or leadership events, including registration, vendor support and financial transactions;
Serve as the main contact for phone inquiries pertaining to membership, financial, educational and operational issues;
Provide responsive and solutions based best practice solutions to client membership growth and acquisition needs, create membership growth, acquisition and retention reporting for Account Team or client(s) leadership review;
Routinely survey client(s) memberships to ensure value, responsive programmatic implementation and member value;
Effectively deliver full life cycle client(s) membership value, including, but not limited to, processing, customer service, welcome and ongoing member communication, journal subscriptions, exit interviews, analysis of stakeholder needs; delivery of all client(s) membership dues invoices;
Maintain the individual clients business and financial integrity by having appropriate reports and documents preserved and secured and by implementing client fiscal policies, procedures, guidelines and budgets as approved by client leadership;
Assist Account Executive or Account Team with monthly financial reconciliations, reporting, annual audit and all tax, federal and state requirements, as well as necessary data, figures and reports that assist Account Team with the establishment of client annual fiscal budgets;
Uphold MCI company value and relationships with client organizations and, whenever possible, communicate the value of company to outside interests that may result in client acquisition and growth for MCI.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree, plus a minimum of 3+ years of experience
Positive, hard-working attitude
A quick learner able to work well in a fast-paced, team environment
Experience with YourMembership.com specifically or any AMS/CRM
Strong communications, customer service and technology skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong Microsoft Excel and report generation skills are preferred.
Ability to learn and operate various database and corporate operations software.
Proven success working effectively with diverse groups of people.
Must be able to organize time and prioritize evolving projects.
Ability to think proactively and innovatively.
An organized, detailed approach is necessary.
Ability to travel approximately 1-2 weeks annually with some occasional evening/ weekend work
