The Systems Analyst will be the subject matter expert responsible for managing and leading the association through the analysis, design, and on-going maintenance of the organization’s NetForum Enterprise association management system (AMS) and other ancillary systems. This position will assess the current and future system needs to increase functionality and productivity throughout the organization. As new systems are necessary, the Systems Analyst will be responsible for system selection, implementation, continuous improvement, and make recommendations to increase performance. The organization's current CRM is Community Brand’s NetForum Enterprise and current accounting package is Great Plains.
The Systems Analyst must be able to build collaborative and productive relationships with staff. This positon will work closely with IT staff for their technical knowledge of SQL and SQL tools to provide data to drive organizational decision making. This position will train staff on system use, set AMS standards, ensure data integrity, prepare general and specific technical documentation, update current and create new SOPs to improve processes, and other tasks as defined and provide staff support as required. The System Analyst will also play an important role in advocating for best practice use of NetForum as the centralized customer database by speaking up when opportunities arise to better leverage the system or when new initiatives are not correctly leveraging the system.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
NetForum Systems Management
Manage NetForum AMS system to maintain the integrity of data by documenting RIMS procedures.
Ensuring that NetForum procedures are taught, understood, and practiced consistently. This may include, but is not limited to, onboarding training, lunch and learn sessions, power user meetings, individual user check-ins, etc.
Answer various AMS related help desk tickets submitted by staff, meeting standards outlined in your yearly performance goals which include turn-around time and level of communication provided for status updates. This will include researching questions in NetForum documentation, connecting with other users in the NetForum Users Group, and working with NetForum support to help resolve any bug related issues.
Assist in developing standard database reports and customize base-line NetForum reports as a part of the IT team.
Work with third-party vendors on projects to integrate or improve functionality of netForum and additional systems.
Manage the day-to-day operations of netFORUM including customizations, development, upgrades, and integrations with related systems.
Maintain a general understanding of new NetForum features being released and identifying potential opportunities for RIMS to leverage that functionality. When approved, work on configuring, testing and training staff on new functionality.
Assist departments to automate and streamline, where possible, manual processes.
Translate business requirements provided by staff into technical requirements that can be implemented into the system.
Participate in the evaluation, selection and deployment of new systems, which may include a new CRM, to improve the organization's ability to manage finances, programs, and data related to daily business.
Lead the integration of other software programs (such as eShow) with netFORUM, working with Third Party vendors to develop the integrations and staff to test the integrations.
Monitor the integration to ensure if issues arise they can be resolved in a timely manner.
Train staff on how to enter updating data/ system uphold business rules, performing simple queries, running reports, and answering user questions.
Work with staff to create and implement standard policies and procedures to support data analytics and market
Document and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), end user software and technical documentation, and training materials including quick reference guides.
Provide reports to leadership/ business units on project performance. Facilitate front and back-end testing and acceptance of deliverables on relevant projects.
Network and establish relationships with Albia staff and members.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business or a related field preferred.
3 - 5 years’ experience in systems implementation/administration/management required.
Experience working within a nonprofit/association environment applying database tools to the functions and processes of Accounting, Membership, Fundraising, Events is desired.
Sound understanding of finance and accounting principles and systems to provide technical support in the deployment and maintenance of accounting, budgeting, forecasting, grants and other related systems.
Experience work with and managing vendors to address issues and deliver on projects.
Proficient skills in MS Excel and MS Project.
Demonstrated expertise in Association Management Systems (netFORUM preferred).
Knowledge of event-management systems and processes including meeting registration applications
Thorough knowledge of data management programs/practice required (NetForum Enterprise AMS knowledge preferred).
Knowledge of AMS and CRM systems and demonstrable knowledge of NetForum or comparable CRM systems.
Excellent written and oral communication skills with both technical and non-technical team members.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects with changing priorities.
Excels in a team-based, collaborative environment working with a variety of colleagues to advance the mission, values and goals of the organization.
A positive attitude and an earnest interest in providing quality customer service to our colleagues, members, stakeholders, and partners.
