The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), the oldest national civil engineering society in America, is currently seeking a Senior Coordinator for our Transportation and Development Institute (T&DI) to provide support for T&DI events and member communications.
Assist in developing, implementing, and managing timelines for events
Providing logistical and operational support to events
Supporting on-site events management
Assisting in post-events reconciliations with vendors, speakers, facilities, committees, etc.
Working with internal and external marketing teams to assist with events communication and marketing
Communicating and coordinating with members, customer, conference moderators, conference speakers, and paper reviewers via phone, email, and the speaker and conference management system
Soliciting and editing content from members, setting up, formatting, and distributing a monthly eNewsletter
Setting up and supporting the online collaboration tool for committees and chapters
Issuing news releases online and submitting updates for website content
Providing support to Senior Manager of the T&DI technical and conference committees, and T&DI geographical and student chapters, as needed.
Updating and managing committee and chapter rosters
The ideal candidate will have:
Bachelor's degree and two years of experience in meeting planning or communications
Thorough proficiency with MS Office
Outstanding organization and interpersonal skills
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
Strong customer service bent
Willingness and desire for occasional travel
