The EBD Manager/Coordinator identifies clinical areas in need of research and supports the development of systematic reviews and clinical practice guidelines to aid pediatric dentists, as well as general dentists, in maintaining and improving children’s oral health. To achieve this end, the EBD Manager/Coordinator directs volunteer workgroups, liaises with committees, and partners with external stakeholders to implement evidence-based dentistry guidelines and policies. The Evidence-Based Dentistry Manager/Coordinator must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, multi-tasking abilities, willingness and aptitude to learn. A strong science background and a functional understanding of basic statistical principles is a must. Educational requirements: Master’s degree in public health, informatics, epidemiology, health statistics, health policy, or a related field. Experience in an association, non-profit organization, university, or government setting utilizing comparable skills. Individual must have excellent computer literacy in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Ability to work independently is a critical.
