JOB SUMMARY: The Member and Stakeholder Engagement Specialist will support the SOA’s efforts to cultivate productive relationships with members, employers of SOA members, and candidates. The Member and Stakeholder Engagement Specialist will assist in creating, supporting and executing strategies/programs to ensure members, employers and candidates are engaged with the SOA, its leadership and its programs.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Bachelor’s degree in communication, marketing, journalism or related field (an equivalent amount of training, education and experience will be considered)
Minimum of one year experience in communications, marketing or business development
Experience working in customer relationship management and networking preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
Ability to comprehend complex information quickly and adapt communication style as needed for various audiences and media.
Strong organizational and project management experience that demonstrates a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to work collaboratively with SOA staff and build rapport with employers, members and volunteers
Exhibit the ability to understand and support strategic and operational initiatives of the SOA
Ability to learn quickly, demonstrate critical thinking and make situation-appropriate decisions using sound judgment
