ASIS&T is seeking a go-getter who is eager to join our small but mighty team in a position with lots of room for advancement. This role is critical to our organizational success, so we need someone who is highly motivated, has a strong sense of ownership of their job, and is willing to work hard in a fast-paced environment. This position reports directly to the Executive Director and engages regularly with ASIS&T staff, the volunteer leadership, and our members.
Responsibilities of the role include:
Bookkeeping functions related to A/R and A/P, including account reconciliation, payment processing, and journal entries.
HR Management, to include administration of employee benefits, maintaining employee records, and processing payroll.
Administrative support to the Executive Director and, as needed, to the Director of Meetings & Events and the Director of Membership.
Office administration, including liaison with external IT vendor, ensuring the proper functioning of all equipment, routing mail and general phone inquiries, and maintaining adequate supplies.
Qualified candidates should have a Bachelors or Associates degree, a minimum of 5 years of administrative experience and 2 years bookkeeping / accounting experience or equivalent training. Experience using Quickbooks and advanced Excel functions is a must. Experience with AMS systems is a plus but not essential. The ability to work independently and adhere to deadlines are key attributes for a successful candidate.
