The CAS is seeking an experienced AMS Administrator to join their staff of talented professionals, dedicated to providing the best possible service to our members, candidates and others through the establishment and tracking of membership qualification standards and the provision of research and learning opportunities.
Title: AMS Administrator
Reports to: Associate Director of IT
Scope of Responsibilities
The AMS Administrator will manage the NetForum Association Management System (AMS) for the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS). As the CAS NetForum technical expert, the AMS Administrator will develop, operate, and support the AMS and its integrations. The AMS Administrator will regularly interface with staff at the CAS to ensure needed functionality, reporting, and business requirements are met.
The AMS Administrator will work with both staff and vendors to ensure integrations are maintained and improved. The AMS Administrator will train staff on AMS use, ensure data integrity, make performance improvements, prepare technical documentation, and provide staff support where appropriate.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Ensure that data assets throughout the organization are aligned with the CAS’s mission, vision and business objectives. • Act as project lead for AMS maintenance, development and integrations. • Communicate with other departments to plan and deliver modifications and development of new functionality in the AMS. • Collaborate with consultants, staff and AMS vendor to provide technical direction on systems analysis, design, development, testing and deployment of solutions. • Ensure that the AMS and other organizational data systems are always available and oversee the integrity of CAS’s data assets. • Manage vendors to ensure database aligns with industry good practice in terms of security, capacity, and performance. • Act as liaison between IT, the rest of staff, and the AMS vendor and any consultants. • Maintain and update appropriate standards and procedures related to the database environment. • Advise staff on best practices for change management as they pertain to data management practices. • Document technical requirements, develop and oversee project plans. • Provide technical support to staff on database issues on an on-going basis. • Train new and existing AMS users, overseeing the creation and maintenance of training materials to ensure technology is being used to its full potential. • Assist in preparation of regular departmental reports. • Facilitate user testing and acceptance of deliverables on relevant projects. • Provide regular reports to leadership and accounting on project performance. • Evaluate database customization requests; makes recommendations to management. • Lead the development of the standard business processes for new and existing database processes. • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Experience and Qualifications
• Fully accredited four-year Bachelor’s undergraduate degree. • A minimum of three years’ experience in an association/member organization role or related field required. • Thorough knowledge of data management programs/practice required (NetForum Enterprise AMS knowledge preferred). • Excellent project management and written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to plan, track and perform multiple tasks; must be able to manage multiple priorities. • Strong service orientation with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Understanding of SQL required. • Web development skills highly desirable. • Knowledge of global data privacy regulations (GDPR) highly desirable.
