American Property Casualty Insurance Association (APCIA) is seeking an Executive Assistant for our federal government relations team in our Washington, DC office. APCIA represents nearly 60% of the primary and reinsurance property-casualty insurance marketplace.
Incumbent will lead executive support, scheduling, travel coordination for the Senior Vice President, Federal Government Relations (FGR) and Political Engagement and the FGR team as assigned. Provide independence project management and leadership for key scopes of work in the Federal Government Relations division.
5 plus years' experience as an executive assistant for senior executives.
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally. Comfortable with executive-level interaction.
Excellent organizational and detail management skills with ability to prioritize assignments, clearly understand and communicate expectations for assignments, and follow through to completion.
Self-starter, must demonstrate initiative and ability to work independently.
Demonstrated interest and acumen with emerging technologies, applications and data analytics, including clear understanding of relational databases.
A high degree of proficiency in Microsoft Office, SharePoint with specific experience and training in Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Word. Must be comfortable creating and using spreadsheets, creating charts and graphs using Excel and PowerPoint, and mail merges from Excel to Microsoft Word.
Strong writing, editing and verbal communication skills.
