The American Urological Association (AUA), the premier urologic association providing support to the urologic community, is currently searching for an energetic, detail-oriented candidate for our Administrative Specialist position in our Committee & Society Affairs department.
This position provides administrative support to department, assists with designated committee functions and administers projects. Maintains lists and records and provides as requested to the Board of Directors, committee members, other AUA members and staff. Maintains database records of AUA Sections, urologic societies and affiliated medical organizations. Maintains and organizes AUA contract database. Routinely updates assigned areas of department Standard Operating Procedures and Association’s website.
The individual in this position will:
Provides administrative support to department, including maintenance of database records.
Maintains and organizes contracts database, providing updates and information to General Counsel and staff to facilitate contract review process.
Assists in compiling and distributing AUA and Urology Care Foundation Board of Directors agendas and other materials relating to the Board.
Administers the production and distribution of AUA Awards, coordinates with external stakeholders, vendors and AUA staff regarding awards program, manages AUA Awards database, and provides staff support to AUA Awards Committee.
Administers annual update of the AUA Resource Manual.
Administers the volunteer recognition program.
Administers AUA’s Guest Lecture program, assists with and other dues/grants to related organizations.
Assists with planning and preparation for Annual Meeting.
Provides support to CSA Coordinator regarding committee appointments process and committee database.

To be Successful
Candidates must be able to provide superior service delivery while working in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment. It is essential that the individual in this role have strong organizational, database and communication skills. In addition:
Associate’s Degree or some college required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
3-5 years of administrative experience. Experience as contracts administrator or paralegal a significant plus
High level and consistent attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
Advanced word processing skills and intermediate skill level with Excel, database and PowerPoint software.
Travel is minimal
