What we're looking for: We are seeking a professional who will be responsible for managing daily operations in the RSNA Case Collection, assisting the Editor in processing submissions and reviews and working collaboratively with Editor and RSNA staff to chart a long-term and sustainable course for the Collection.

What you'll do:
Assist Editor and Publications department Directors in establishing and maintaining policies and procedures that facilitate timely and high-quality publication of cases.
Process cases from initial submissions through peer review and revision, to final acceptance or rejection; prepare and edit accepted cases for publication
Provide troubleshooting for authors, reviewers, and editorial board members.
Handle communications, in person and in writing, with editors, authors, reviewers, users and staff; monitor Collection e-mail and system notifications/comments and take appropriate follow-up action.
Use database software to help identify and solicit reviewers for cases.
Track submissions, review processes, and overall case processing and provides statistical data to the Editor and others within RSNA.
Manage reporting for the Collection, provide regular and accurate accounts of case status as well as any ad hoc requests in support of operations; works with Director: Journal Business and Operations to develop new reports and assess what analytics are needed to monitor strategic goals.
Oversee continuous development of submission and review systems and offers suggestions for workflow improvement.
What you'll need:
Bachelor's degree or higher
3-5 years' experience in publication management
Familiarity with medical terminology
Task and process-oriented
Demonstrated experience in providing customer service at the highest level
Excellent planning and organizational skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills: ability to communicate clearly and effectively
Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to establish and maintain good working relationships
Able to work independently and apply sound judgment as needed
Strong computer software skills: Office suite of programs, editing and workflow management tools
