Who we are looking for:
Are you a branding pro that would you like to be a part of a tight-knit team at an organization making a difference in cancer care every day? If so, ASCO has a new and exciting opportunity for a Branding and Exhibits Manager to join our growing Communications and Marketing Department. The selected candidate will work cross-departmentally, provide strategic oversight and support to ensure a consistent focus on the organization’s values and brand value proposition, and oversee ASCO’s exhibit booth program. What you will do:
In collaboration with division leadership, create and oversee the brand strategy, including the setting of style guides, brand guidelines, brand vision and value proposition
Oversee the ASCO exhibits booth program by managing relationships and negotiating the exhibit space, location, and marketing initiatives to maximize ASCO’s exposure
Supervise advertising, promotional items and exhibit displays to ensure consistency in branding
Effectively manage and mentor Exhibits Coordinator
Oversee the organizational exhibits, advertising and promotional budgets
Serve as the business lead and partner with the IT department on the organizational Digital Asset Management System (DAMS) to ensure all creative assets are organized and updated and its use is adopted
Manage activities of outside firms partnering with ASCO on creative assets
Partner with internal stakeholders to bring ideas to fruition through clear, concise copywriting and a blending of ASCO creative assets
What you will need in order to be successful:
5-7 years of Marketing experience including branding and messaging, and having non-profit experience is a plus
Experience working with a digital asset management system (DAMS); and hands on experience working with content management systems such as Drupal or Wordpress
Experience with email software, and using Adobe Campaign is a plus
Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite programs is a plus
Willingness to embrace and adapt to new technology
Experience managing and/or mentoring staff members while providing coaching; experience directing the work of external vendors
Superior communication skills including oral, listening and written; strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and to complete a high volume of work and meet deadlines with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Superb analytical skills and ability to think things through, anticipate solutions and next steps, and see the bigger picture, while offering fresh ideas
Ability to travel domestically and internationally 10-20 nights plus per year to attend meetings and staff the ASCO Exhibit booth
