The Pennsylvania Homecare Association, a fast-paced, member-focused state healthcare association, is seeking a Chief Executive Officer. The successful candidate has experience working with a Board of Directors and government and elected officials, as well as the state departments of Human Services, Aging and Health, and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
This association is focused on growing membership, broadening and strengthening state advocacy, improving member benefits, and staying one step ahead to ensure the industry continues to expand its role in the healthcare continuum.
Main responsibilities: • Oversee state political action committee and non-profit foundation • Work closely with workers’ compensation trust • Identify emerging opportunities for Association through new collaborations and outreach • Communicate effectively the mission and positions of the Association with external stakeholders, including state officials and legislators, members of Congress and federal officials whose actions may impact the operation of the Association’s member organizations.
The ideal candidate shows initiative and tenacity, has excellent written and verbal communication skills, is a compelling public speaker, possesses the ability to work toward consensus-building, and can multitask to balance and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Basic knowledge and understanding of Medicaid and managed care preferred.
