Our national trade association based in Cedar Park, Texas, just outside the Austin city limits, seeks a full-time Membership Development Manager to join our team. You could be the next person to join our stellar team, if this sounds like you. You love people, developing relationships, understanding someone’s motivation and goals, overcoming someone’s initial objections, and beating your own record for meeting your goals. People who know you well may describe you as charismatic, friendly, driven, and personable. Rarely do you meet a stranger or make an enemy. You are well-organized, having your own systems for tracking your prospects and for ensuring timely follow up contact. You have specialized skills such as creating sponsorship packages, exhibit sales, convention management, email marketing, and/or project management. Additional skills such as communications, writing skills, and tech savviness make you a well-rounded and multi-dimensional contributor. Researching leads, learning your customer’s issues, and doing your homework is part of your approach and success. Phone conversations do not scare you, and in fact, connecting with people through various channels is something you do almost effortlessly. As a natural optimist, you know it is only a matter of understanding each other before you will close a deal. You have strong emotional intelligence and navigate through delicate and complicated client relationships better than most. Drama eludes you because you are too busy making friends, building connections and getting things done. With your quirky sense of humor and stellar work ethic, you are a joy to have on any team. You enjoy encouraging and inspiring your teammates to stay positive and to get to the finish line. Anything worth doing, is worth doing 100% for you. There’s no lukewarm; no one foot in the door with one foot out for you. You commit and seek a work environment where you can grow and be appreciated. You enjoy being a part of a healthy team, seek professional growth, and are not only open to feedback, but you crave it. You do not require constant supervision to make progress on your goals as you are a self-starter. You have intellectual curiosity, you are do-gooder and a goal crusher. Does this sound like you? Then you might be the next addition to our hard-working, small, but mighty team. To apply, send a cover letter and your updated resume to edu@rtohq.org.
