Association Management Company in McLean, Virginia that serves not-for-profit health and medical associations seeks a full-time Association Associate Director who will work with the Executive Director to provide leadership and direction for a member medical association(s). Candidate must show progressive career advancement and a wide range of responsibilities successfully managed. We seek a highly motivated individual. Strong meeting experience is essential as part of the role is assisting with annual meetings of the association(s). Association experience and excellent interpersonal skills are necessary, in addition to being efficient with the computer. This excellent opportunity includes diverse duties, and some travel.
The Associate Director will be a versatile executive and possess a broad understanding of association management. Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational and interpersonal skills are necessary. Detail oriented, collaborative spirit, and demonstrated personal credibility and integrity. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Word required. The ideal candidate will have the skills and personality to articulate a vision, create consensus, and motivate people while helping to implement ongoing and new projects.
Education & Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required.
Certified Association Executive (CAE) desired.
Association experience required.
Experience in meeting planning required.
5 – 7 years experience in Association or non-profit or AMC experience preferred.
