POSITION SUMMARY
The Vice President of People and Culture is a pivotal role responsible for steering the human capital strategy aligned with EO’s values and organizational objectives on a global scale. This position demands visionary HR leadership, a commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace, and a track record of success in international non-profit settings. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Vice President, People and Culture oversees a dynamic team of four direct reports.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Culture and Staff Engagement
Global Cultural Leadership: Spearhead transformative culture change initiatives at the Executive Team level, ensuring alignment with EO's values across international teams and locations.
Learning and Development Alignment: Drive seamless integration between staff and member learning, training, and leadership development, fostering a culture that resonates with EO's global mission.
Organizational Framework: Develop a robust framework aligning staff goals with EO’s strategic vision, emphasizing accountability, transparency, and collaboration on a global scale.
Global Employee Well-being: Design and implement innovative employee wellness and engagement programs, promoting cultural awareness and sensitivity to retain top talent worldwide.
DEI Strategies: Partner with leadership to develop and implement cutting-edge DEI strategies, embracing inclusive and equitable management practices.
Leadership and Global Human Resources Guidance
Board Partnership: Serve as the lead executive partner with the Board’s Human Capital Advisory Council, providing expert guidance on executive recruitment, performance, and remuneration in the context of international non-profit dynamics.
Strategic Vision: Establish and monitor the strategic vision and execution of the People and Culture department, ensuring alignment with EO’s global strategy.
Global Compliance: Provide expertise in global compliance matters, conducting regular risk assessments of EO’s employment policies and practices across diverse international jurisdictions.
Global Employee Relations: Implement effective processes to address global employee relations and performance issues, fostering a positive and collaborative global work environment.
Employee Compensation and Benefits
Global Compensation Strategy: Ensure that compensation and benefits programs are not only competitive globally but are also reflective of the unique dynamics in international non-profit settings.
Performance-linked Evaluations: Oversee a comprehensive program linking job design and annual performance evaluations to EO’s overarching goals on a global scale.
Benefits Administration: Direct the development and administration of benefits programs, tailoring them to the diverse needs of a global workforce.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
Professional Experience
International Non-Profit Expertise: Proven track record in creating and implementing human resources strategies within international non-profit organizations operating in 20+ countries.
Diverse Leadership: Broad-based leadership and management experience within a human resources department, with a focus on learning and development, and compensation and benefits administration in an international context.
Dynamic Problem Solver: Ability to resolve complex issues creatively and logically in a fast-paced, changing organizational environment.
Skills and Characteristics
Global Acumen: Business acumen and the ability to translate ideas into action in a global context, demonstrating strong results orientation.
