The Skin Cancer Foundation, the only organization dedicated exclusively to the world’s most common cancer, seeks a dynamic and enterprising Director of Development. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative development professional to lead the Foundation’s national fundraising efforts. The Director will design and execute a fundraising plan which includes membership development, special events, major gifts, individual giving, planned giving, foundation grants, and online giving. The position reports to the Executive Director.

A global non-profit foundation, The Skin Cancer Foundation conducts public and professional education programs and supports medical research to help reduce the incidence of skin cancer.

Responsibilities: • Manage all aspects of fundraising for our membership and individual giving programs, (including on-line giving) which include membership cultivation and coordinating membership events and activities. • Solicit major gifts. • Prepare grant proposals and reports to Foundations and other grant makers

Requirements: • At least 7 years experience in a non-profit environment. • Proven experience in fundraising • Excellent communications skills, both oral and written. • Must be detailed oriented with high attention to accuracy. • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
