The Membership Manager should provide exceptional customer service to all external and internal customers. The Membership manager is responsible for maintaining the membership database and performing the Accounts Receivable function for the association while following the TAR billing cycle. The manager will provide additional membership database support and training as requested. The Membership Manager will supervise the Membership department staff while overseeing the daily functions of the Membership Department. The Membership Manager will report to the Controller on a daily basis to provide status updates.
General overview of responsibilities:
Fields membership calls and provides customer support as needed
Provide technical assistance to members and staff for accessing the TAR website and ZipForm
Assist local boards with membership inquiries (ie member data, policies and procedures)
Manager may travel to local associations to assist staff with membership training
Processes all Accounts Receivable
Processes daily deposits
Maintains integrity of membership records
Provide data analytics on membership trends, attrition, member benefits utilization, etc.
Co-facilitates Membership/NRDS Users meeting at TAR Winter Meeting and at the annual TAR Conference.
Assist other departments with reports, letters, labels and rosters, etc. as needed
Assist webmaster/IT staff with membership related projects
Conduct weekly/bi-weekly membership meetings with staff and Controller
Performs annual staff reviews for Membership coordinators
Manager maybe assigned additional database/membership projects as needed
Candidate must have 3-5 years’ experience in Accounts Receivables and at least a high school diploma; however, an Associates degree and some managerial experience are preferred. The candidate must have exceptional customer service skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office.
