The Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards (“CFP Board”) - headquartered in Washington, D.C.-is the certifying body for financial planning professionals. It is a non-profit organization that fosters professional standards in personal financial planning through its setting and enforcement of the education, examination, experience, ethics, and other requirements for the CFP certification.
CFP Board is seeking an Administrator, Communications & Public Policy who will provide a variety of day-to-day administrative and programmatic tasks to support the communications and public policy departments.
Provides administrative support for the communications and public policy teams including vendor contact, meeting/event scheduling and support, invoice submissions, expense reporting, and other routine inquiries and requests
Posts social media content provided by staff and agencies to various CFP Board accounts
Assists with site and blog content for a variety of CFP Board properties
Delivers reports with statistics and results for each CFP Board’s social media account
Monitors and tracks media clips related to CFP Board, CFP certification and spokespeople
Drafts and distributes press releases; monthly eNewsletter; and featured content on cfp.net Maintains updated lists of media contacts
Prepares public policy communications for CFP Board stakeholders
Coordinates in-person meetings and weekly phone calls
Maintains contracts on file; keeps vendor agreements up-to-date
Supports the Marketing and Communications Council (MCC)
Performs duties as assigned
A minimum of 3 years administrative or program support, or commensurate educational experience
Excellent calendar management skills, including the coordination of complex meetings
Strong knowledge of MS Office; knowledge of or ability to learn other tools including NetForum
Exceptional, error-free writing skills
Firm understanding of social media platforms
Motivated self-starter with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, and follow through on issues in a timely manner
High level of professionalism, creativity and ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as CFP certificants, consultants, and vendors
Ability to work and collaborate as a part of a fast-paced, driven team
