Who We Need:
IHMM is currently seeking a Certification Coordinator to focus on administration and customer service related to certification applications and examinations. The Certification Coordinator represents the Institute by assisting our customers all the way from interested applicants to the newly certified. The Certification Coordinator reports directly to the Executive Director while working closely with the Director of Certification to support the Institute’s mission. The Certification Coordinator may also have the opportunity from time to time to represent the Institute at conferences and trade shows, as well as by administering IHMM examinations at special events.
Responsibilities of the position include:
Assists individuals with application for IHMM examinations, including communication of eligibility requirements
Reviews applications for IHMM examinations to verify eligibility to test.
Works with accounting department to ensure proper invoicing for examinations and related initial fees
Approves candidates for test and certification whose qualifications meet the published standards, requirements, and guidelines.
Assists applicants with scheduling of examinations at testing centers or live-proctored administrations.
Receives and processes examination data from testing centers
Communicates exam results and applicable policies to applicants
Distributes and follows up on customer payment of applicable invoices
Utilizes credential database system on a daily basis: maintains familiarity with credential database issues, updates, features, and reports.
Ensures activities performed are in compliance of IHMM’s policies and procedures with ANSI/ISO/IEC 10724 and CESB accreditations
Assists with policy development and internal audit of certification processes
Assists in identifying process improvement and related activities.
Ensures high level of quality by monitoring candidate applications and examination registrations, and ensures appropriate and timely communications to candidates regarding: The certification program, processes, examination results and requirements.
Ensures completeness of records and takes follow-up action as required; responsible for timely distribution of Welcome Packets to new certificants which includes certificates and letters of approval of certification.
Prepares reports and analytics on certification activities for quarterly presentation to the IHMM Board of Directors.
Acts as staff liaison to effectively manage test delivery vendors and other examination related vendors, including: Works with test delivery vendors to resolve scheduling, scoring, performance, data, and any other issues; and for ADA and ESL accommodations at testing sites.
Supports Director of Certification & Accreditation in providing item reports statistics from IHMM’s online secured computer testing and assists in developing test forms.
Supports Executive Director by providing information relevant to exam challenges and appeals.
Ensures physical security of all documents, information, and records.
Cross-trains on recertification functions
HS Diploma/GED and two years relevant experience in an office or business setting.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in a customer service environment
Moderate Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
High Proficiency in Kryterion, Webassessor
Basic Proficiency with Gotomeeting, Doodle and other communication and business tools
