The Account Executive is responsible for the successful acquisition and relationship management of customers for the growth and retention of Toy Association marketplace events (North American International Toy Fair, Fall Toy Preview and others as needed), membership and participation in ShopToys365. The Account Executives primarily responsible to maximize and deliver sales revenue by implementing sales and customer service strategies designed to achieve and exceed budgetary objectives for all marketplace events and Toy Association membership.
Primary duties include: Prospective and returning exhibit account management. Participate in face-to-face engagement with current and potential exhibitors and members through marketplaces, educational forums & conferences and networking events produced by the Toy Association and other relevant organizations. Regular verbal and written communication with clients and providing exceptional year-round customer service is required. Assigning and managing exhibit space on the show floor for all Toy Association marketplaces is necessary as is relationship building, staying abreast of the toy and youth entertainment industry through printed and online publications, events, personal connections and identifying growth opportunities for marketplace events and membership sales. Cooperative efforts with all Toy Association departments, in order to achieve overall Association strategic goals, including membership acquisition is required.
5 years sales and/or toy industry experience. Ability to manage and be responsible for multiple tasks across multiple events with overlapping cycles. Strong organizational, interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Highly detail-oriented while managing multiple tasks and tight deadlines with confidence. Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal. Proven leadership skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
