We are looking for a sales individual, who simply loves to sell, to join us as we expand our in-house sales team. Opportunity is waiting for the individual looking to further their sales career in an industry poised for growth.
Why We Need You:
You will be responsible for sales of Argentum opportunities to industry supplier companies’ serving the senior living marketplace. This sales position will require volume selling for the expo and print/digital properties, plus a more consultative and targeted sales approach for sponsorships across other properties. Properties to be sold include the Senior Living Executive Conference & Expo, Senior Living Executive magazine, Argentum Daily (digital newsletter), the Senior Living Symposium, and Industry Partner Membership.
You will report directly to the Sales Director. It is the management team’s goal to provide the support, tools, knowledge, training, inventory, systems, and workflows that will allow you to meet and exceed all sales targets. All efforts will be driven by a desire to grow the sales department and the individuals within it. Our long term vision is to develop future leaders in the association and senior living space.
Proactive management and outreach to an established and qualified sales territory, includes frequent communication through phone calls and e-mails to ensure that the Argentum value proposition is being consistently conveyed, sharing updates around new offerings that can enhance customers experience while driving additional revenue.
Deliver effective sales presentations via the phone and email.
New lead and business generation will be ongoing requirements and will need to be accomplished through visiting competitive events, online research, web leads, industry magazines and referrals.
A complete understanding of Argentum offerings including but not limited to tradeshow exhibit space, sponsorships, print advertising, sponsored content, digital advertising, and custom opportunities.
Ongoing education and understanding of the industries and vertical segments associated with Argentum events both from a sales and attendee perspective.
Diligent use of Microsoft Dynamics CRM for accurate sales tracking, sales pipeline management, and sales forecasting.
Collections outreach, when needed, to ensure customer payments are made in a timely manner.
Perform other duties as requested by the Sales Director or VP of Business Development.

Education and Experience:
One year or more related sales experience; bachelor's degree from four-year college/university is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Self-starter with the ability to handle numerous projects simultaneously.
Proven consultative sales experience and the ability to engage decision makers is essential.
Highly developed communication skills (both written and verbal), problem solving skills, positive attitude, creativity, a desire to lead, a desire to serve, and a high degree of professionalism.
The ability to think in an interdisciplinary manner that takes into consideration not just sales needs but also our internal customers.
Trade show exhibit sales experience is preferred but not a requirement.
Computer skills and database experience required. Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Experience with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Dynamics CRM (or similar software), MapYourShow (or similar software), and MagHub are preferred but not necessary.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities at this time.
Additional Salary Information: no ceiling on commissions
