The ACT-IAC Sponsorship Manager will hold responsibility for effectively executing all sponsor support, fulfillment, financial processing and marketing support duties associated with sponsored ACT-IAC conferences, forums, and other designated events. This position will act as a professional partner to a team of member volunteers tasked with sponsorship sales. This is a fulltime position with a duty location in Fairfax, VA, reporting to the Senior Director of Corporate Development.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Act as a knowledge expert for ACT-IAC sponsorship program;
Act as a professional partner in a volunteer-based membership organization to manage the sales and fulfillment process of conference/event sponsorships;
Act as a connection and support point between sponsor and staff;
Coordinate and track all sponsorship activity and manage communications flow;
Facilitate the administrative components of sponsorship which include processing commitment forms, invoicing, reviewing and reconciling financial reports, collecting payment etc.;
Facilitate fulfillment of all sponsorship benefits including personal registration of sponsored event attendees, collection and monitoring graphic standards for logos, collect, review and approve final sponsor identified materials and other administrative duties;
Maintain and strengthen current sponsorship relationships and work actively to create an exemplary “white glove service” experience for sponsors at sponsored events;
Seek to improve sponsorship benefits and value for members annually;
Oversee and coordinate the development of standard and ad hoc sponsorship reports;
Create sponsorship timetables well in advance of scheduled events;
Facilitate in conjunction with Senior Director, the development of sponsorship and corporate marketing pieces, such as sponsorship packages, sponsorship report, corporate brochure, and annual report;
Design sponsorship booklets
Assist in development and review of program booklets, slide deck presentations, and event posters/banners
Knowledge, Skills & Requirements
Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of 2-3 years of experience relevant to the requirements of this position;
Experience working with membership associations preferred;
Must possess strong organizational and customer service skills as well as ability to multi-task;
Must possess effective communication and presentation skills;
Must possess the interpersonal skills to deal courteously and effectively with a broad spectrum of businesses, members and organizations. Must enjoy meeting with people, networking and developing strong relationships;
Must demonstrate acute attention to detail;
Must possess ability to work independently with little or no direct supervision;
Must demonstrate initiative and ability to use independent judgment;
Must be team oriented;

Must be team oriented, dedicated to the greater goals of ACT-IAC and willing to accept other duties as assigned
Understanding and experience with financial accounting and reconciliation
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite products such as InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop is a plus
The person selected for this position must be willing to travel within the Washington, DC travel area to attend planning meetings and conferences. In addition to conference travel, occasional overnight travel may be required.
