The Society of American Florists (SAF) seeks a membership specialist who can put his or her customer service, sales, marketing and organizational chops to the test in an association that’s looking to reinvent how it recruits, retains and services members.
The membership specialist will:
Answer questions and fulfill requests about membership, products and services from current and prospective members.
Help build and maintain the association’s new database.
Collaborate with the team to recommend and develop new products and affinity programs.
Identify messages to use in recruitment and engagement campaigns.
Represent the association at industry events.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Passion for technology and efficient workflow
Customer service experience
Experience working with an association database a plus

One to three years of membership recruitment and retention experience in trade associations or related organizations.
Proficiency in a Mac environment using MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Keynote.
Proficiency with AMS and CRM systems.
Specialist reports to the manager of member and data services.
Bachelor’s degree a plus
Coursework in membership recruitment and retention a plus.
