The successful candidate will build on direct experience in certification and training to grow a successful OSHA certified training program for safety sales professionals.

SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Education and Information Resources Manager is responsible for growing the use of standardized safety equipment through the development and dissemination of technical knowledge, most notably through ISEA’s Education and Training Program (QSSP and beyond). The successful candidate will demonstrate a core competency in the management and growth of educational training programs that lead the way in modernized education for the Safety Sales Professional, as well as the build and implementation for new initiatives, integration efforts, enhancements and upgrades to existing training. A secondary competency in the stewardship of research and data development initiatives is also desired.
Building on ISEA’s existing intellectual capital, the Education and Information Resources Manager will synthesize Association standards, national and international governmental regulatory standards (e.g. OSHA, NIOSH, ISO), and related collateral, with existing industry knowledge and with new research and data, in order to support a knowledge based outreach campaign.
Working closely with the Education Committee, the Candidate will develop and ensure the excellence of ISEA’s educational offerings. An entrepreneurial and business development approach and attitude will help ensure the program’s success.
NATURE AND SCOPE:
ISEA’s core mission is to provide the equipment that keeps workers safe. The Education and Information Resources Manager will be responsible for ISEA’s work to grow the use of standardized safety equipment through technical training and education. Building on the existing knowledge base developed by ISEA and its members, the Incumbent will generate and manage industry facing data and research, and work with the Education Committee to develop and shape the association’s education courses from concept through implementation.
Steward existing industry intellectual property and manage research initiatives to grow the knowledge base.
Develop and monitor program content, instructors, and all aspects of the program necessary to help position ISEA as an expert provider of safety sales education.
Identify state-of-the-art knowledge and competencies for safety sales professionals that can drive the content and direction of the education program.
Identify and implement technology solutions that optimize adult-learning and advance the engagement and experience for this generation of “connected” learners
Set short and long term strategy and goals for industry education and training, and for stewardship of the knowledge base on which these programs are built.
Grow the success of a successful OSHA 30hr (QSSP) program through increased attendance and expansion of curriculum
Launch QSSP 2.0 recertification program (already designed) for alumni.
Improve educational program through digital resources and alumni engagement program
Assume primary management responsibility for all ISEA educational offerings.
Manage and administer faculty communications as needed throughout the program process.
Research and recommend educational products (online, instructor-led, multi-element certificate programs) including potential partnerships with platform vendors, independent training providers, universities and other societies. Select best option and develop capabilities.
Conduct project management to include faculty recruitment and program material development.
Work with marketing staff to develop and implement marketing materials and a marketing plan to promote the education program and organizations served by it.
Identify and implement programs, designed as “members-only” that provide direct benefit to ISEA member companies.
Act as the central staff point for ISEA intellectual property, and industry research and data.
Manage ISEA research initiatives in cooperation with other ISEA staff.
Research applicable education grants and manage the grant process on behalf of the association.
Serves as staff liaison to the Education Committee.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
5-10 years of experience in association management, education and training, or technical program management, preferably in a safety management role
Solid understanding of developing and administering an education program with fiscal management experience.
Experience developing and facilitating training courses, and course assessments
Safety-related professional credentials (CIH, CSP) or an advanced degree in a Safety related field highly preferred
Familiarity with industry regulatory and testing standards (OSHA, NIOSH, ASTM, ISEA, ISO)
Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment and manager multiple projects concurrently.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, demonstrated ability to effectively work with diverse groups using tact and diplomacy.
Computer proficiency with a variety of software applications, (specifically, MS Office) web-based applications and working knowledge of Database Management systems.
Preferred experience using LMS software to manage education programs
Experience managing contracted services including vendor recruitment, negotiation and evaluation.
Ability to travel as required.
