The Unified Virginia Chiropractic Association (UVCA) is currently seeking applicants for their Executive Director position. This is a full-time remote position. Candidate must reside in Virginia; ideally, central Virginia.
The Executive Director is responsible for the oversight of all activities associated with this not-for-profit 501(c)6 organization. The individual is accountable to the Board of Directors to:
Maintain and grow individual and business-related membership
Assure that the organization remains financially viable
Provide highly valued educational programs and member driven services
Work to constantly promote and advance all facets of the chiropractic profession throughout Virginia
The Executive Director persistently encourages teamwork and collaboration, bringing differing perspectives together to find viable solutions. The Executive Director is expected to develop, maintain, and nurture strong working relationships with peer organizations, other healthcare related professional organizations, and key businesses/trade organizations. The Executive Director is responsible for developing vision, managing operations, and providing visible leadership for the Association consistent with the strategic plan and the guidance of the Board of Directors.

Bachelor’s degree in business, association management, or another relevant field.
Experience in staff management and organizational leadership.
Excellent written, verbal, and technology skills.
Knowledge of Chiropractic and the healthcare arena highly preferred but may not be required depending on candidate’s other expertise.
Knowledge of legislative and regulatory processes.
Financial experience with budgeting and tax liabilities for 501(c)6 organizations.

The UVCA's mission is to help doctors of chiropractic in Virginia deliver exceptional care so that individuals can discover the safety and efficacy of chiropractic care. Towards this goal we provide a wide range of tools, resources, educational programs, advocacy efforts, PR initiatives, and other benefits. We have 700 members representing about half of the licensed DCs in the state. Main office is in central Virginia, right outside of Charlottesville, but all employees work remotely.
